How SMS Consent Works at DC Courier Services
Last updated: April 13, 2026
DC Courier Services uses SMS only with explicit, opt-in consent from each customer. Here is exactly how the consent process works on our booking form.
Step 1: Customer fills out our booking form
At dccourierservices.com, customers complete a delivery request form with their pickup, dropoff, contact, and package information.
Step 2: SMS opt-in checkbox
Before submitting the form, the customer sees an unchecked checkbox labeled:
"Send me SMS updates about my order from DC Courier Services (pickup confirmations, driver dispatch, delivery confirmation). Approximately 4-6 messages per order. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel."
The box is NOT pre-checked. The customer must actively check it.
Step 3: Customer submits
If the customer checks the box and submits, we record their consent and send order-related SMS to the phone number provided.
If the customer does NOT check the box, we do not send SMS. We contact them by email or phone instead.
Step 4: Confirmation message
After opting in and submitting, the customer receives this confirmation message:
"DC Courier Services: Your order DC-XXXXXX has been received. We will confirm pickup details shortly. Reply STOP to opt out."
Step 5: Help and stop
The customer can opt out anytime by replying STOP. For help, they reply HELP and receive:
"DC Courier Services: For delivery support call +1 240-671-2621 or email info@dccourierservices.com. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
